UPDATE: 8-8-2017 Tulip’s 4 pups, Trooper, Tripp, Trixie and Trinity have all been adopted and are enjoying their lives as beloved family members! Congratulations Kids!
Mom Tulip has settled in nicely and we are now concentrating on the perfect home for her. Tulip, it is estimated is only a young girl herself, turning just one year old last month. Yes, she had apparently gotten pregnant on her very first heat! Please spay and neuter your pets folks!! Anyway, she was spayed last week and is doing great! Tulip and two of her pups were taken in by a kind rescuer, when Tulip had wandered onto her property. Her pups were 5 weeks old at the time. 8 days later 2 more pups wandered onto the same property in search of their mom. Those two were also from Tulip’s litter and were living in a storm drain. Realizing this, the rescuer and friends scoured the area for more pups however no more were found. This tiny boxer mix had fended for herself and her pups for most likely weeks before rescue. As mentioned above the pups have been adopted now it’s this brave little Mom’s turn for a shot at the perfect life! She loves to sit on your lap and lay in the sun. She is potty trained and walks well on leash. Tulip is a happy playful girl and does well with our resident dog. She has many puppy characteristics herself. She is very tiny weighing in at only 27 lbs. She may be a boxer/beagle mix, we are of course not sure. Tulip is extremely lovable and would be a phenomenal companion for a retired person. Tulip’s perfect home would have a fenced in back yard so that she can bask in the sun and run to catch her toys which she loves. This little girl has been through so much, and is so deserving of a loving furever home. Please read her story below.
