Please meet Quincy. Quincy will be 7 years old 0n July 10th. He is a male purebred boxer. Quincy is being re-homed through no fault of his own. His people find themselves having to move to a senior community with a weight limit for pets. Unfortunately, Quincy is a large boy of 77 lbs., therefore too large for the senior community. Quincy is current on vaccines and has been neutered.
Quincy is good with dogs, including small dogs as he has lived with a pug in his home. Quincy does become a little anxious when he is in the company of many dogs, therefore a home that want’s to frequent a dog park would not be a match for Quincy and it is not necessary as he is a bit of a couch potato, enjoying his home.. He enjoys a simple walk now and then too. He is potty trained and knows the following commands: sit, come, down, and heel. He also knows some hand signals. Quincy enjoys car rides. Quincy responds well to “No” as he does want to jump on people when he first meets them. Quincy has not lived with children however has been exposed to children, the youngest being 5 yrs old. Because Quincy doesn’t realize how large he is and still has a tendency to jump on new people now and again, a home with children 12 yrs and older would be best for Quincy.
Quincy simply likes people and would thoroughly enjoy hanging out with you being your companion. If you feel you are a match for Quincy, please complete an Adoption Application found under the Adoption Tab at the top of this page. Are you already approved? Great, simply email us at firstname.lastname@example.org with your name, letting us know you are in fact approved and would like to meet this total Gem of a Guy!
