We know how exciting it is, to adopt a rescue dog & puppies are no exception. We have just a few requirements for our puppies; requirements that help to insure your puppy adds years of pleasure to your home and also help to keep your puppy secure and happy.
1. All of our very young puppies, require a physically fenced in area in which to explore safely and assist with the potty training. PLEASE UNDERSTAND, THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS REQUIREMENT.
2. Fassa’s Friends is comprised of all volunteers. No one receives a paycheck, a stipend, or any type of monetary gain for their services. That being said all have employment (of course or we’d starve), children, families, commitments just as all of you. For this reason we ask that you refrain from emailing asking for more information regarding the puppies. All of the information we have, is posted on this bio. By responding to such emails, we’re taking time that could be used to speed up Application Review, Home visit assignments, etc. to get you approved.
3. All of our young puppies are required to attend a Basic Puppy Training Course. We know many of you have the ability to train your puppy to sit, give paw, etc. and that’s great, however there is so much more to learn. A Basic Puppy Training Course teaches you how to teach your puppy boundaries and limitations while your puppy learns the essentials necessary to live a happy, well mannered life. Puppy training also increases the bond between you, your family and your puppy. Your puppy will be exposed to new people, new situations and be able to meet and greet each appropriately whether human or canine. Those of you that are not first time pet parents, can view this training as a refresher and most likely will pick up a few tips that you’ve not had in the past. One can never have too much knowledge therefore, THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS. Thank you for understanding.
1-29-2014: Johnny is roughly 5 months old. He is possibly Boxer/Golden Retriever (of course we can’t be 100%) by looking at his beautiful coat. He is good with other dogs, plays with a cat as if it were a dog, and has also been with children in his foster home. Johnny will be a welcome addition to any family. He is one of those pups with just the right amount of “snuggle and play.” What a cute face on this little guy! He is also potty trained.
If you think your family is a match for Johnny, and are pre-approved, simply email us at email@example.com with your name, approval status and we will schedule a meet and greet. If you’ve not yet been approved and are interested in meeting our Johnny, please complete an Adoption Application found at the top of this page, under the Adoption Tab.
Please read below for more on Johnny’s meager start in life! Let’s find this boy the perfect home..
12-10-13 Update: Johnny is waiting for his fur-ever home to find him. He is approximately 4 months old. Johnny is fabulous with other dogs and would like a fur-ever home with a female or male canine pal for him to hang with. He is very sweet and loveable. He enjoys playing with his human foster brother and sisters too. Johnny is current on vaccines. He is also learning quickly how to potty outside. If you think Johnny is a match for you and you would like to meet this handsome tike, please complete an adoption application found under the adoption tab at the top of this page. If you are already approved and would like to meet this little cutie, simply email us at fassasfriends@gmail to let us know. Please let’s help Johnny find his home in time for the holidays!
Please meet Fassa’s Friends, Jackie and Johnny. In memory of the 50th Anniversary of President Kennedy’s Assasination, our Facebook Friends had shared appropriate names and then voted. Thanks to our facebook friends for suggesting great names and voting! By popular vote, this litter of two are named Jackie (female, fawn with black mask) and John (Johnny, male fawn with white) Jackie and Johnny are approximately 12 weeks old. They are current on vaccines. Jackie and Johnny were dumped at an out of state shelter, along with another litter mate that unfortunately was too ill to survive when taken to the shelter. These two are sweet, healthy little Boxer mix puppies due to arrive this weekend ,11/23/13. WE will keep you posted as we learn more about their temperaments. Please keep in mind, at this point they are healthy, normal puppies engaging in “puppy-like behavior.” They do well with other dogs, and because they are puppies, will most likely be fine with cats.
We are giving Jackie and Johnny a week to settle in before we schedule meet and greets. If you would like to be at the top of the line to meet them, please complete an Adoption Application found under the Adoption Tab at the top of the page, if you’ve not already done so. How great would it be for each of the Kennedy pups to have their very own homes by the holidays?
