UPDATE 2-25-13 St. Patrick’s Day is the celebration of Irish & Irish American heritage. Many others also join in the celebration secretly hoping for the Leprechaun to guide us to our Pot of Gold at the end of the rainbow! Fassa’s Friends St. Patrick’s Day namesake, Patrick O’Reilly is hoping for something a little different, something a lot more obtainable, his very own fur-ever home. Well folks, as his Irish Luck would have it, Patrick is on the rainbow sliding toward his pot of gold with a brand new bone and Kong. He’s almost to the end; he’s housebroken, fun loving (keeping with the Irish tradition of course) and a perfect guy with terrific house manners. He is crate trained, potty trained, does not touch a thing anywhere except his toys. Patrick is a great snuggler and will snuggle with you on your bed as you and he watch the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. He’s just so amazing! Even though he’ll snuggle with you in bed, he will not take the liberty of jumping on your furniture…now how amazing is that? Patrick has gotten as close as he can to the end of his rainbow and now he needs our Human Help! Let’s help Patrick find his fur-ever home so that he can celebrate his St. Patricks Day with his new family and join in the celebration! He’ll do this when invited, however doesn’t take the liberty of jumping on other furniture…now how amazing is that? A Pot of Gold at the end of our rainbow, as many of us know, is not realistic….however adopting our wonderful dog, Patrick of course is! Patrick wants to be an only dog and frankly speaking, watching or engaging in his silly antics is more entertaining than a pack of playful pups! He wants all the love and affection for himself so cat-free home is also necessary. If you think Patrick just may be the “Pot of Gold” you’re looking for and you’re interested in meeting this energetic cuddle bug, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or call Denise at 609-471-6907. This is the very least all of us can do to make his St. Patrick’s Day perfect!
1-30-13-Update: Patrick is still the same goofy Patrick, still on the search for his fur-ever home. Take a look at his new photos! Such expression captured by Valerie Bruder of Valerie Bruder Photography…Thanks Valerie! Enjoy!
1-18-13 Update: Patrick continues to do well. Look for the You Tube icon on the right of our Dogs for Adoption page, click on the icon to see Patrick “on the move.” He is very entertaining both to interact with and to watch, as he also entertains himself. He is learning basic commands as well. He is crate trained and potty trained. Patrick’s perfect match is a home that enjoys laughter as his antics are harmless, yet extremely funny. He’d love a home where someone would play ball with him as his favorite toy is his ball (as seen in his new pictures}. Patrick is great with children, however older children are preferred because he doesn’t realize his strength and could inadvertently knock a small child to the ground. Patrick has great house manners as well. He doesn’t touch anything inside that isn’t his. What a Guy! Patrick would much rather be an only dog, therefore a home with other pets, would not be suitable for him. Patrick also prefers a home with a fence. His foster home has a 4′ fence and he’s not attempted to climb or jump it. This guy is a wonderful dog, and would make a great addition to any family. If you envision a pleasant, fun loving, goof-ball bringing hour after hour of joy to your home, Patrick is the canine companion to meet. If you’ve not already done so, please complete an Adoption Application found under the Adoption Tab at the top of this page. If you’ve already done so, just call (856) 889-0832 and we’ll gladly schedule a Meet and Greet! You have nothing to lose, however much to gain by simply meeting this happy-go-lucky snuggle-bug (yes, after running and playing, he does enjoy snuggling!) For Patrick’s complete story, please read the posts below.
OK folks, let’s re-cap shall we? My name is Patrick. I was in a shelter in Ohio when Fassa’s Friends rescued me. It was either rescue or doom & gloom for me! I was dumped out & left on my own before picked up by Animal Control. Why I was dumped? Who knows. Do I look like a Boxer? Not Much you say right… Well OK…does that mean then, I’m not a great dog? Absolutely not! I’ve been in my foster home now for 3 months & my foster Mom, Denise, just gets the biggest kick out of me! Just ask her. she says I’m a big goof-ball with my silly, innocent antics! I know I keep her thoroughly amused, that’s for sure! OK, I don’t really like other dogs, that’s true. This only means I would rather stay at home in the yard to romp around with my peeps. Is that such a bad thing? Is it really that important for YOU to go to the dog park???? Just asking……I’m not interested in jumping the fence or digging holes everywhere. I’m only interested in playing with you & my toys when outside (and of course, “taking care of business” if ya know what I mean. I like children & would have a blast with teenagers! Even though I like children of all ages, I would do much better with teenagers. They are more sturdy than little ones & when I’m romping around being my goofy self, I won’t have to worry about accidentally knocking one down. My foster Mom says this has something to do with being a Goof-ball!
Now as for manners, Denise says I’m great in the house. I don’t touch anything other than my toys. I am potty trained; I look forward to my alone time in the crate because Denise gives me a frozen peanut butter kong. I’m only crated during the day while Denise is at work. At night I have free roam. That’s how good I am! I sleep on a quilt on the floor, in my foster Mom’s room. Ya just can’t beat that! I like to play ball & play with my squeaky toys. I’m current on my vaccines, have NEVER had heartworm, & I’m neutered. As you can see, I enjoy dressing for the holidays! Now, all I need is my very own home for the holidays & I’ll be set! If you’re the match for me, I’d like to be sitting under your tree with a bow on my head! I promise I won’t lift my leg on it! Come on, take the plunge, fill out an application & come by to meet me. Just might be you’re the perfect family for me & I’m the perfect canine companion for you!
