Please meet Fassa’s Friend Chili. 10/25/12 Well, our Chili has come a very long way!

Chili with foster Brother & Sister, Levi (Brindle) & Stormy (white)

Pysically, he’s gained a substantial amount of weight and has filled out to become a beautiful boy!  His foster home has also made terrific strides in teaching Chili manners.  He sits on command and walks fabulously on leash.  As you can see from his new pics, he’s great with other dogs! Thank you to his foster home for teaching him all he needs to know to be a phenomenal new family member.  This guy is so super smart! If you’re an approved home and would be interested in meeting Chili, please email us at  If you haven’t yet completed an application but would like to meet Chili for yourself, please submit an Adoption Application  that is found under the Adoption Tab at the top of the page.  If you’re in search of a great dog with an even greater disposition, this is the one for you! He found his way to our rescue partner, Justice Rescue. From there he found his way to Fassa’s Friends Boxer Rescue, so now let’s help him find his way to a loving fur-ever home to complete his journey.  He is so deserving!   See below for Chili’s heart-wrenching story.

“The dirt just appeared…Honest! I’ll wipe my paws just incase….”

Chili has a natural tail and ears.  He is approximately 1-2 years old.  He was found, by our friends at Justice Rescue laying in a street in Philadelphia, extremely emaciated and flea infested. They asked if we could take him in and find him the very best of homes! Please note Chili’s progression in just one week’s time.  Thank you Justice, for saving this  this guy and getting him off to a good start!

Chili is now in a foster home, and is thriving.  Initially he was shy and cautious, but he has started to meet new people with a happy wag. He is good with other dogs.  He has learned to sit, stay, lay down and is crate trained. Chili is doing really well with his house-training.  Common household sounds startled him, leading us to believe he has spent little, if any time indoors.   He is, however quickly adapting to the good life.  Chili never had a toy to call his own and the squeaker in his first toy was quite the surprise?  He is being exposed to lots of new experiences and he is gaining weight and confidence every day.  He loves the car and walks well on the leash.  Chili is very responsive to training and does his very best to please. Chili has not yet been exposed to children or cats.

Chil is current on vaccines and will be neutered next week.  Take a look at this boy and if you think you would be a match for Chili and would like to experience the joy of showing this guy the good life, please complete an Adoption Application found Under the Adoption Tab at  the top of this page.  Chili truly deserves a fur-ever home he can call his own. Let’s make this happen for him! If you have any questions, please email us at or call us at 856 889-0832. Chili is anxious to please his very own family!
