Meet one of Fassa’s newest and sweetest Friends, Nugget.  Nugget is a 2 year old chestnut colored Boxer with a black mask. For those who are attracted to the Boxer wrinkles, Nugget is your girl.  She has many wrinkles on her face and head. Nugget has a fractured radius/ulna.

She has been to an orthopaedic specialist who stated that her fracture is healing very well and is perfectly aligned.  Her splint will be removed in two-three more weeks.  Nugget is wearing the cone because she thinks the splint should come off sooner…with her help!  As you can tell from the pictures as well, her coat is very thin with patches of fur missing.  This has been caused by demodex mange and also being treated.  Nugget has two ear infections, that are also being treated. Nugget is a diamond in the rough!  Though she has the above medcal issues, the orthapaedic vet stated Nugget will be a gorgeous boxer once all of her medical needs are resolved and she gains some weight. Nugget is tipping the scale right now at only 35 lbs.  She is housetrained and also crate trained.    Demodex mange isn’t contagious therefore, the fracture and not the mange, is the only issue that is keeping Nugget from playing with the other dogs in her foster home. They have all met each other through baby gates, with all tails wagging! At this point, we believe Nugget is good with other dogs.  Nugget knows “sit” and “paw”.

Nugget will be cleared for adoption in roughly 6 weeks. She is searching for a fur-ever home that will show her the attention that she shows them.  She is a very loving and sweet Boxer girl. Look at this poor girl….she deserves the very best of homes, a home that will show her the good life! If you are that home, please complete an Adoption Application under the adoption tab at the top of the page. If you are already an approved home, please just call us at 856 889-0832 and we will schedule a meeting.
